The task at droxford was to remove 3 mature beech trees that were a danger to the property behind and road due to severe wind damage. We had to get the trees down as quickly as possible so having the open field our option was to use 2 wire cables in each tree with 1 tractor winch, an extra tractor and wedges to assist in felling them. Once the trees were down and safe we cut out the timber for logwood and chipped waste.

We took on this job to improve the property by bringing back light and space, as we see all to often conifers planted in the wrong place as a boundary and not maintained. We dismantled and chipped the conifers and stump ground all stumps in preparation for the replanting of a new beech hedge. We planted the hedge on day 2 these were 6 foot bare root whips also using spiral tree guards and bamboo cains.
